A few days later, you were curled up in bed, having finished your stream for the day. Your laptop rested beside you as you watched the MMA Awards live broadcast.

Your hands flew to your mouth when the announcer read the winner for Album of the Year.

Their faces, full of shock, joy, and disbelief, made your brows scrunch as you tried not to cry.

They did it.

You watched as Namjoon gave their acceptance speech, the other members too overwhelmed to speak. Your grin grew so big your cheeks hurt, and you kicked your feet giddily against the mattress. Jungkook had been so sure they wouldn’t win. But you’d known they would.

With fingers shaking, you scrambled to open your messages app

Your heart raced as you sent the flood of messages. You knew he wouldn’t see them right away — he had way more important things going on right now — but you had to let it out.

In the past weeks, you and Jungkook had been messaging constantly. It started on Instagram but quickly moved to iMessage, with even a few FaceTime calls. Although your schedule was packed with daily streams and team content, you still had way more free time than he did. But somehow, with the little free time he did have, he seemed to want to spend it talking to you.

It was safe to say you were feeling a little delusional.

10:47 PM | Incoming call from Jungkook

Okay, maybe a lot delusional.

“Oh my godddd,” his voice came through the second you picked up, quiet and breathless. “Oh my god, Y/n-yah…”

“Ahhhhhhhhhhh!” you screamed into the phone, legs slamming up and down on the bed as you let your excitement out. “Jungkook-ah! You did it! I knew it! Ahhhhhhhhh!”

His Elmo-giggle rang through your speaker, and you couldn’t help but laugh along. “Well done, Jungkook-ah. You deserve this so much. I’m so happy for you. I know how much this means to you guys.”

You heard a soft sniffle, and your heart clenched as you brought both hands up to hold the phone closer. “No… Jungkookie, please don’t cry. Unless they’re happy tears… Are they happy tears?”

Your voice softened, and Jungkook let out a quiet chuckle. A warmth spread through him as he ignored the flutter in his stomach at hearing you call him Jungkookie for the first time.

“M’in the bathroom,” he mumbled, adjusting the phone. “But yeah, they’re happy tears. Thank you, Y/n-yah. I’m so happy.”

“Good,” you replied gently, your smile widening. “I’m proud of you, you know? We’ve only been friends for what? A couple weeks?” You laughed softly. “But I feel this, like, strong sense of pride for you? God, that must sound so weird—”

“No,” he cut in, his voice a little raspy and so warm. “I know what you mean.” He added quietly, “I love that you feel like that. Thank you.”

You couldn’t stop the grin spreading across your face as you curled your knees to your chest, leaning against the headboard. “Good,” you mumbled a little shyly, and Jungkook’s stomach clenched at the sound of your soft tone. “Then I’m officially your biggest fan.”

Three years later, both of you were undeniably at the top of your crafts.

Your online fame had skyrocketed to the point where you were recognized almost everywhere you went. As the biggest female streamer on Twitch, hailed as the most talked-about content creator of 2019, and with three consecutive League of Legends Champions Korea trophies under your belt, life felt fucking surreal.

Meanwhile, BTS had firmly cemented themselves as the biggest music group in the world, smashing Billboard and domestic chart records left and right. Since their first daesang in 2016, they’d become the artist with the most daesang wins in MAMA history and overall. Alongside his brothers, Jungkook was ruling the world.

And god, were you hopelessly in love with him.

You couldn’t pinpoint exactly when it happened, but ever since that random day he’d messaged you on Instagram, the two of you had only grown closer.

That day, though, you remembered like it was yesterday.

You’d woken up around one in the afternoon, dragging yourself and your phone to the bathroom to wash up. The charity stream the night before had run late, so you’d only managed to crawl out of bed hours later. It wasn’t the worst it had been; your gaming addiction had long since wrecked your sleep schedule, so going to bed at sunrise and waking up when it had already disappeared was your routine.

As you brushed your teeth, you scrolled through social media, snorting when you saw another troll message in your DM requests

You still don't know why you responded. Usually, you didn’t. But maybe the 0.01% chance that it was actually him had your fingers darting to reply before you could think it through.

You often wondered what would’ve happened if you’d just ignored it like you usually did with those kinds of messages. Would he have tried again? Reached out to your manager? One of your teammates? Probably not.

But with the way your best friend acts now, you liked to imagine that maybe he would’ve.

“Uh huh, I’m coming down now, Kookie,” you muttered, balancing your phone on speaker while your arms were overloaded with stuff. You stubbornly twisted the handle of your apartment door, refusing to set anything down.

Through the speaker, Jungkook’s amused voice teased, “What are you holding in your mouth?”

You laughed around the strap of the Bluetooth speaker you were biting. “Speaker,” you mumbled, words muffled by the device.

“Yah, why?” Jungkook whined, laughing. “Mine’s just fine…”

You could picture his face so clearly — brows furrowed in mock offense with a cute little pout, which only made your grin widen. “Really?” you teased, finally managing to get the door open and kicking it shut behind you. You tilted the speaker above your free hand, letting it drop safely into your palm. “Yours is ancient, Jungkookie,” you teased. “All that money, and you still refuse to upgrade…”

His loud laugh rang through the speaker, warming you the way it always did. “It’s called being savvy,” he hummed, his footsteps crackling through the phone. “You wouldn’t know, Miss ‘splurges on every latest gadget.’”

You gasped in mock offense, eyes widening in exaggerated shock. “Tch,” you muttered, your smile faltering when you realized you had too much in your hands to lock the door. “Hold on, Kookie, I have to put some things down to lock my door—”

You froze at the sound of footsteps coming up the staircase, your head snapping toward the noise. But when you saw who it was, your shoulders relaxed instantly, and your face lit up with delight.

There he was, standing at the top step with that familiar lopsided smile, his eyes sparkling with amusement. Jungkook had already ended the call, tucking his phone into his pocket as he walked toward you.

“Told you I was coming down,” you pouted, though your expression softened as his big arms wrapped around you and the mountain of stuff you were balancing. “You didn’t have to walk up.”

Jungkook shrugged, his fingers giving your sides a gentle squeeze as he pulled away, eyes scanning you with his usual curiosity. “S’okay. Where are your keys?”

You shifted slightly, lifting your arm just enough for him to reach into your purse. He fished out your keys, locking the door and twisting the handle to make sure it was secure. Satisfied, he dropped the keys back in your bag, then slipped the strap off your shoulder and onto his own. He took most of the items from your arms with ease, his larger frame making it look like nothing.

Tilting your head, you shot him a teasing look, nodding at the cream-colored Dior purse now hanging at his side. “Suits you,” you grinned.

Jungkook flashed you a boyish smile as you leaned closer, slipping your phone into the bag before giving his belly a soft pat in thanks. “So cute,” you giggled, tugging him along as you made your way down the staircase.

i already posted about hui-ge before but the lore behind this person and the fansite is coming up again. more recently, because something xz said in the wuhan loch roadshow is very close to the words they used for an edited photo of wyb. this site has been long closed and inactive and i guess it was for the better considering fans were being too all up in their business. and if it’s true that they are somehow an insider, then it’s best to stop at some point.

i found this post of some more explanations on why hui-ge is known in the fandom & why we think he is in the inner circle. 🫶🏼

1. The website was launched before the 2019 Thailand concert and declared that it was not profitable. Not authorized, a non-profit site. which is kinda weird for a fansite, cause they also don’t sell photobooks or other merch. which may be this person’s own decision — but some see this as a possible hint at why they are doing it. it was a secret way to share things to fans. and knowing how this fandom works, especially with lrlg and other fakes, it’s not far fetched. plus the boys are known to have side accounts.

2. The night before the Thailand meeting, all the fans who went to Thailand were waiting for two people at the airport, he was the only one who posted on Weibo that night saying "No need to wait until tomorrow, "See you", and they really arrived the next morning. 👀

3. The later activities are basically shot from the inside, and there are no pictures from similar perspectives on other fan sites — or even official ones.

this is the more interesting one tho that made cpfs really believe his credibility. First snow in Beijing in 2019 they posted p1 and 10 minutes after this Weibo post, XZ also posted a Weibo post about the first snow. on that day, WYB inexplicably posted a message of "Happy New Year" and deleted it immediately.

BONUS: i also remember him saying in a message to fans that the “clinic is open” days before OOL was announced. there was also a possible clue regarding the cat and shiba inu cake when he celebrated his bday on set of OOL that year.

5. After Weibo started to display IP addresses, only three Weibo posts were posted, and all the IP addresses are in Beijing, and then he retired.

The coincidences also don’t stop here, fans are also seeing some similarity in his captions with the boys’ recent music. especially XZ’s.

we will never know the identity of who this person is but we gotta admit that all the coincidences are too much. how many times does it have to happen for it to be real?

Media Day - Aussie GP 2019 - Part 2

A new team? With two females? This is unheard of and will most certainly shake things up in F1! Meet Y/n Rose-Ocean and Evelyn Match as they get assigned seats into a new team into the F1, Porsche racing. Y/n holds the number 38 whilst Evelyn holds the number 72. The two are introduced as rookies in the 2019 season, but, their area has been yet to be revealed, it being closed by tarps, and the two girls' identities have also remained a secret. Over time, even though she’s one of the youngest, she soon becomes the “grid aunt” and even “grid older/younger sister” as well.

-Two days later, y/n pov-

Ev and I are taking a little walk around the paddock to try and get more used to our surroundings after our little day off yesterday. I mean, we know the place quite well considering that I am Australian but, there's new areas that we need to explore. We have had to be careful though, hoods up and everything. It feels like we're in a spy/action film but in real life.

Whilst venturing around, I'm able to see a few faces that I can recognise: Danial Riccardo, a fellow Aussie, chatting away with Max Verstappen, and the three other rookies of the year chattering away. We walk by them, giving the three a nod, me catching the slighting confused and curious glances from the other two, and head to a separate media room where it'll just be the two of us.

As we enter said room, we are led up onto a slightly raised platform and take our seats as the reports flood in but, quickly noticing, that majority are female which calms me down slightly. Still hiding ourselves, we get comfortable and then wait for the interviewing process to start as both mine and Ev's PR managers stand to the side.

After the second interview, we get to have a little break so, Ev and I go separate ways, promising to meet up in a few hours.

I decide to make my way an area that has food. Cause let me tell you, I am hungry! So, making my way around, I find a vegan stand, which I am so happy about. After placing in my order, I wait off to the side with a cold plastic water bottle which I got for free, as they told me it would take a few minutes to make the pasta and dumplings.

A minute in, as I'm scrolling through Instagram, a message on the app pops up, from Lance Stroll. I don't hesitate to open it but then freak out a little when I see the message.

LS🏎️: You know, I'm a little sad that you didn't tell me you were one of the drivers.

Quickly whipping my head around, I see Lance staring right back at me with a cheeky smile on his face, phone in hand, and, with a sigh, I gesture him over after checking around to see if anyone else was close by. "How on earth did you figure it out?" I question sharply as he reaches me and get a shrug in response as he puts his phone back into his pocket, "Pretty easily, actually. Only you have that necklace and bracelets. And, also, I am one of your best friends," He states to me as I open my water and take a sip before closing it again, "True," I respond.

My order is then called out and I go and grab it, "Thank you," I say to the three workers and then head back over to Lance with the food in a bag and we begin to walk before he talks again, "So, I'm assuming Evelyn is the other driver?" He just gets a nod and hum from me. "Sooo, when will this be revealed?" He asks, "After the race," he just nods at my response.

We continue our nice stroll before reaching the still-hidden Porche garage and we say our goodbyes before I reach for the opening of the tarp keeping the place hidden from the rest of the world at this current moment in time and head inside. Walking around, mechanics and engineers stream by in a flash, seeming to get some more tyres and testing how efficiently and effectively they can get them onto the car. Looking around for one specific person for a moment, I spot them.

"Atlas" Upon hearing their name getting called out by me, my brother whips around and his face lights up when spotting me and quickly does a light jog over.

After my lunch with Atlas, we say our goodbyes as he needs to go and go and meet up with some of his mates. I have a few more minutes, that being around fifteen minutes, until I am needed back for the last round of interviews today.

As I wonder around the padock more, it just feels sos sureal that in around seventy-two hours I will be having my first official Formula 1 race here! I am so excited- Omph.

"Oh, my gosh! I am so sorry," An accented voice states and in a hurry helps me stand up from the fall and, upon looking up, I see that it is Fernando Alonso. "Esta todo bien" (It's all good), I respond to him before seeing his eyes are wide, causing me to tilt my head slightly, confused.

"Oh Dios mío..." (Oh my gosh…), he mumbles and I'm just so confused until it hits me. My hoodie is now resting agisint the back of my neck, probaly fallen off during the collison.

The characterizations in this one are clear and feel very real, the tangled emotions and the potential catastrophes falling slowly into something terrible and wonderful and complex. Alex's involvement in the whole ordeal turns it into a wonderful exploration of the 2019 rookies.

Lewis was right, ultimately, George thinks; his only consolation is that it isn’t Alex who he’s going to destroy, who’s going to destroy him. Maybe Lando is a little more oblivious, but — no, no, he knows they will consume each other and themselves, if not this year then next, if not the next then not long after. Nico still floats around the paddock on race weekends like a lost moon, still interviews Lewis with longing heavy in his voice. Lewis speaks to him like he would any other reporter. George doesn’t want to do that to Lando, either. He doesn’t want Lando to do that to him. “Thrilled, of course, Lando’s a good mate,” he tells the press, with vacant eyes and a fixed smile. “No one deserves the Merc drive more than him.”

In this magical realism AU, Lando and Oscar are both still McLaren drivers, with one small twist: they both have powers. The worldbuilding in this fic was exceptional: vivid and so well developed, I could picture it all unfolding before my eyes. Both Lando and Oscar's powers fit them so well, and I love how the author carefully built the development of their relationship around them becoming more comfortable with each other's abilities. Despite all powers, though, they are still so very Lando and Oscar at the core of this fic, and I loved the characterisation and writing so much.

But now that Lando is the senior driver, he's supposed to be the one who handles his feelings with maturity, not hopelessly crushing on a younger rookie. This isn't ogling handsome Carlos from afar; he wants to wrap Oscar in a blanket and make him hot chocolate and know that he's okay. He wants to see Oscar smile not just because it's pretty but because he genuinely cares about his happiness. That part is new.

Daniel discovers Max's Twitch stream and quickly becomes obsessed with them. This fic explores Max and Daniel getting to know each other and learn each other. I really liked the Max characterisation in this. Very direct but also very open to learn. One of my favourite parts is the mod group chat and how it serves as extra information for the reader, set's the tone nicely and helps you understand the overal context of Max and Daniel.

I will be back to my normal room at home in two weeks but for now, I am visiting my boyfriend.” electricsld: oh! a boyfriend! andpussycats: say more max dr3rd: yeah maxy, say more “Well, he is very sweet and he does not mind that I need to stream while I visit him. We live in different places, so we, of course, do not get to see each other very often, but it has been very nice to visit.” dr3rd: is he handsome? Max wants to roll their eyes at Daniel fishing for compliments but they contain themself. “Yes, very handsome. So handsome I cannot believe he picked me.”

I Know Your Name (But Not Who You Are) by @wanderingblindly | Charles/Max | T | 7.7k

Charles isn't in Monaco anymore, instead, now he's in Arizona. He's suffered loss at the hands of racing. Max turns up unexpectedly. Great fic if you want to cry and sob and scream into your pillow at 2 am! Amazing writing that just makes you want to lie in bed and contemplate life :) this is such an underrated fic!

There’s not another soul in the desert, just the brief rustle of an autumnal breeze ghosting along the loose earth. But behind Charles’s eyelids, in the space between him and the world above, it’s them. It hasn’t been them in a long time, he hasn’t let himself think of it. He isn’t running from anything, fluttering from city to city, crossing oceans he never touched as a boy. He’s searching, maybe, for a place where the wind can blow it all away. The sun feels warm as he raises his arm, fingers outstretched as he tries to hold that boundless blue in his palm.

It's 2022, Sebastian is driving for Aston Martin when their new team principal is announced – Nico Rosberg. The author said it best herself – this fic is all about "the absolute fantasy of being the villains favourite girl". And Nico makes a lovely villain, snarky and a bit pretentious but with the ability to back up his words and make his promises reality. I especially love Seb's character arc, starting with 2022!Seb, reluctantly forced to accept that his world champion days are over, to then finding his spark again under Nicos guidance and returning back to his charming, selfish, index-finger-in-the-air ways. Really they are both absolute assholes in this but thats what makes them perfect for each other.

“I’m here for the same reason you are,” he says, megawatt smile back on his face. “To win you a title.”Seb sits back in his seat, grinning bitterly. “Don’t let Stroll hear you say that. The only reason he bought this team is to try to get a title for his son. I’m just here to play mentor until they build us a car one of us can win with, and then he’ll turn me loose.” He doesn’t add, just like Ferrari did. He doesn’t have to.Nico scoffs. Seb’s met so few people who actually scoff in real life. “Lance Stroll,” he says, disdain dripping around every consonant, “is never winning a title. You still could, though, and you know it. You’d have retired if you didn’t think so.” Seb opens his mouth, prepared to contradict him, and Nico silences him with a wave of his hand. “Don’t give me your go-to line about the love of the sport. You’ve only ever been here for one reason. The media might forget, you might even want them to forget, but I know what you’re really like.”“And what’s that?” Seb asks. Against his better instincts, and even though he knows Nico can’t have a single good motive for being here, he’s intrigued by whatever Nico’s about to say. Nico’s always been an enigma to him, Nico’s opinion of him doubly so.“You’re ruthless,” Nico says, almost in a whisper. “You’re brutal, and ambitious, and you’ll do whatever you have to to take everything you want.”

Rabbit, Rabbit (it takes a village) by @481boxboxbaby | Lando/Oscar | M | 25k

Oscar wakes up to find four baby bunnies in his shower. In the world of this story, that's as good as peeing on a stick. This boy is knocked up, and there are six possible baby daddies. This is a sweet, funny and heartfelt fic that takes a cracky idea (magic bunnies means you're pregnant) and treats it seriously. Oscar is definitely a bit of a pillow princess and good time guy - that's why he has bunnies - and the fic follows his journey of self discovery, growing as a person along the way and learning that knowing himself is far more important than knowing who the daddy is. The guy who steps up, and who Oscar chooses in the end, is maybe a little unexpected but it absolutely worked for me.

“Oh,” Oscar blushes a fierce shade of red. “We’re not a throuple. They’re just friends. I mean, maybe one of them is the other father but - um - that’s sort of the thing.” The midwife raises an eyebrow and cocks her head to the side, waiting for him to go on. Oscar instead looks at Liam and Logan, desperate for one of them to bail him out. “You see, there’s a roster,” Logan says, his expression awfully serious like he’s trying to be as tactful as possible, even if he did just start off by outing Oscar as a hoe.

Charles and Alex and a party. This is the kind of fic that you read, and then you remember for the rest of your life. This is a truly stunning urban fantasy, very immersive and atmospheric.

Good Omens, My Life, and My Soon-To-Be-Wife: A Tumblr Love Story

I joined Tumblr in 2019, shortly after I discovered a mini-series about an angel and a demon and the not-really-end of the world. I was consumed by it, by the story and the characters and the love that ran underneath it all, and so I came to Tumblr to find a community of people who felt the same.

What I was not expecting to find was the love of my life, but here we are.

J and I met through a mutual friend (hi, @ineffablefool ) who had recommended my fics on his blog often enough that J decided to read them. Soon enough, I started noticing repeated comments from one particular user on many of my fics, and I found myself looking forward to reading what this person thought of new chapters and works. J eventually messaged me on Tumblr, we became friends, and later on, we became more than that.

I’ll spare you the ins and outs of our relationship (because I am, and always will be, fairly private about my real life/name/identity when it comes to my fandom life), but know this: in more than 5 years of knowing J, and in nearly 4 of being in a romantic relationship with them, I have come to know and understand what it means to love another person with your entire being. I have learned so much about patience and grace, and I have laughed so much more and generally been so much happier in this phase of my life than in any one before it. I cannot wait to see what the future holds for us. Our relationship has spanned many years and many more miles, even stretching across an ocean as we’ve both navigated trans-Atlantic journeys that have lead to us finding a home together (at last). Edinburgh has been as good a home to me as I have ever had, and it’s been even better since J has been here with me.

So when J and I took a trip to London this past weekend to celebrate our engagement, we went to St. James’s Park. We found a bench, and we sat together on it, and we talked and thought about how absolutely mad and wonderful it is that Good Omens brought us here. It’s the love story that started ours, and there will always be part of me that is immensely glad that J and I found it when we did.

(There’s been a lot of talk lately about whether we as a fandom should continue to support and love Good Omens in light of the actions of one of its creators. To that I say: do what feels right to you. If you need to step away, I understand.

But to those of you who, like me, choose to remain in the fandom, know this: Good Omens is as much ours as it ever was his. We can claim the love we have found here, and we can celebrate it. We can mourn what we have lost while being grateful for what we have. And we can look forward to a happy ending, together, because it is what we - and Aziraphale and Crowley - have always deserved.)

Hey, I know you sent this earlier today and I'm sorry it's taken me a while to reply, but I wanted to sit down and write a proper response. Getting this message was genuinely so lovely and I can't tell you how much it meant to me to hear that my tumblr has been able to be a positive place for someone 💞

I know I've very rarely been super personal on here, but this sport and this fandom has come to mean a lot to me, so I wanted to use this moment to express my gratitude to the dirlies (gn) and this community.

I was first introduced to F1 through friends while I was living in Europe in 2019 through DtS. I knew from the first moment I saw Daniel he was my favourite. I was immediately enamoured by his vivaciousness and that unabashed joy for life that exudes from every fibre of his being. But I was busy studying overseas and just didn't have the time to be fully bitten by the F1 bug.

I came home at the beginning of 2020 and between the pandemic, lockdowns and my personal life going toooootally to shit I was in a pretty bad place. And it was after a few months of struggle and wallowing that somehow my youtube algorithm landed me on a video of Daniel. I was hooked and very quickly worked my way through highlights, interviews, social media clips, all the funny videos, then each race highlight video as it came out in 2020, which led into every single WTF1 podcast (🙃😂) from 2020. The amount of google searches I did trying to learn all these racing and engineering terms and technical phrases I hadn't come across before (I distinctly remember googling what "box, box" meant because I had no effing clue what it meant 😂). I read every article I could about the upcoming season and the insane hype of Daniel going to McLaren (🙃🙃🙃) and can remember that first FP1 session in Bahrain I ever watched live.

I kind of stumbled onto tumblr via reddit. As I'd been learning about and becoming obsessed with F1 and Daniel I'd made my way onto the F1 sub, and for a long time I could be found on there first learning, and then discussing (and then later arguing for and defending Daniel lol). And I think it was as reddit started becoming more and more anti-Daniel that I started spending more time on tumblr.

For a long time before I joined tumblr I lurked, reading so many of all of your wonderful posts and opinions and seeing all the beautiful and creative fics and art. The mclaren hate blogging era was some of the best (and worst) times and some of the masterpieces on here in defence of Daniel and his career are so iconic and I have referenced their points/stats/quotes so many times in defence of Daniel.

I was a bit scared to fully join tumblr and start posting but I felt really quickly welcomed into this community on here. None of my friends IRL are remotely interested in F1, and so getting to talk about it here with all of you has been such a blessing (and I think my family are probably incredibly grateful that they don't have to listen to me talk about F1/Daniel quite as much as before 😅).

I just wanted to say how incredibly grateful I am to have gotten to experience the last few years with all of you on here. It hasn't always been easy and it's been a rollercoaster - that's for fucking sure - but the highs have been SO incredible. Daniel brought so much happiness and joy and laughter into my life at a time when I really, really needed it and seeing the outpouring of love for him on here the last few days has been beautiful, despite the heartbreaking circumstances.

I don't know what the next few months will look like without Daniel in F1, but I'll be sticking around for sure. I know I'm not always the best at replying to messages or inboxes (I blame my ADHD) but I'm always here for a chat and my messages are always open💞

I just saw a Daily Mail article...Lottie and Lewis better buckle up. Caroline's mum is all ready to drag them through the mud and that documentary isn't even due out until the end of the year. She swipes at Lou Teasdale as well.

Yikes. Yeah, I saw that was happening. I mean, everything surrounding Lewis when he first got together with Lottie seemed very shady. And he didn’t seem like a great boyfriend to Caroline. And I can totally understand Caroline’s mother not being able to let go of the fact that Lewis moved on to this seemingly glamorous and happy life after her daughter died.

But this second documentary comes across more like a way to attack him and other people she feels let Caroline down, rather than providing closure. It’s all terribly sad.

[…] One person who didn't join in the congratulatory messages was Christine Flack, the mother of television presenter Caroline who took her own life five years ago next month.

The much-loved 40-year-old had been in a turbulent relationship with Lewis – a model and former professional tennis player – who was 13 years her junior.

It was this relationship, Caroline's mother openly declared on social media, that 'ended her life'.

Indeed, it was a late-night explosive row between the two in 2019, after Caroline was said to have found text messages from another woman on his phone, that led to her hitting him with a lamp, being charged with assault - and ultimately resulted in her downward mental spiral and suicide on February 15, 2020.

Now Lottie, the younger sister of One Direction band member Louis Tomlinson and one of the UK's most sought after influencers, with more than four million followers on Instagram, has spoken about the scurrilous suggestion for the first time to the Mail.

Referring to the text messages Caroline is said to have found on Lewis's phone that night, her agent said: 'It is not true at all, they hadn't even met before at the time of the incident. Hope this clears that rumour up.'

Today, Lottie, 27, and Lewis, 33, live together in a £800,000 five-bedroom, three-bathroom luxury home in Kent which they are renovating in the style of a Los Angeles mansion.

The property, which both Lottie and Lewis regularly post about on social media, even has its own Instagram account.

As one of Caroline's friends tells me: 'It must be devastating for Christine, she has lost her daughter and now Lewis has become some kind of influencer with his girlfriend, living in apparent bliss and about to become a father for the second time.

Caroline killed herself after learning that her criminal trial for assaulting Lewis was going ahead, after initially being told she would only be given a caution.

Caroline had feared that the body cam footage taken by police on the night the incident took place would be played out in court. In a confession to a pal, she said she would 'rather die' than have the recordings played in a public arena.

Its been a long and winding year returning to tumblr in a more dedicated fashion for the first in a long while (not since 2019, yeesh! Time flies), but I can't really say I regret it at all!

With all its ups and a couple of downs, I've regained some of that old spark I used to have being in the RPC again and I really just wanted to do something paying it forward even if just in a small way -- so I'm doing a little something that used to be a common end-of-the-year tradition back during the golden years of the old RPC I used to romp in!

There's nothing anyone else has to do in return, this is just me giving a little bit of appreciation to all the people who have given me a reason to be here and really let me enjoy myself here again!

So one way or another, this is just a thank you to ALL of my mutuals who've made my time here a little bit brighter! Here's to a hopefully even better 2025!

Things are still a bit new between us but I can say with full, genuine honesty you are one of the most pleasant people I've had the pleasure of getting to know! And I've had a lot of people come in and out of my life, most of them people that quickly showed they weren't good for me, so that's a compliment that doesn't come lightly from me, distant and critical person that I am about new faces. Time spent on languages in 2024

It's time for my classic summary of the previous year.

2024 was my first full year free of uni, just working, doing household chores and my hobbies. Which you can see in my stats, I spent a lot of time on languages and I'm very happy with how much time I dedicated to them this year. Of course, time doesn't mean I've learned much or advanced in them, most of it is just me watching something or reading. But tracking the time motivates me.

In 2024 I spent (around):

181 hours on Swedish

54 hours on Spanish

126 hours on German

361 hours in total, more than in the last two years.

This graph shows how much hours I spent on each language during the year. The spike in German in July-September is me watching Maxton Hall, getting obsessed with it and reading the trilogy. The spikes in Spanish, I suppose, are me watching the series Ni una más and re-watching Gran hotel. And the Swedish spikes are, again, reading books.

My most productive months were August and December (both with around 46 hours) and the least productive was October (with around 10 hours). October was the month I broke my ankle and spent 3 weeks on sick leave. I thought I would spend loads of time on languages, but I was just too exhausted and in pain to do anything that required energy.

Watching series was always an important part of my language learning. I watched Julkalender, as always, the series Sjukt oklar and I guess some Swedish documentaries. But my absolute favourite thing I saw this year was a documentary series called Född 2010. Except for Maxton Hall, for German I watched the second season of Die Keiserin and Gestern waren wir noch Kinder.

Just like last year, I managed to read 5 Swedish and 3 German books, both of which I'm proud of.

I've continued listening to Easy German Podcast couple of times a week on my way to/from work, it's been my most listened podcast. Aside from that, I've also listened to Zehn Minuten Alltags-Wissen and a couple of episodes of Intermediate Spanish Podcast.

In spring I started the habit of going for a walk during my lunch break, talking to myself in my languages and recording myself. I think I did it mostly in Swedish because I thought nobody would understand me that way. I also had one Swedish iTalki lesson (because I was scared of speaking in Sweden), a call in German with a @tolstayas and talked to my German friend once. I also started exchanging voice messages with a fellow German learner once in a while.

Concerning writing, my only form of writing somewhat longer texts is my posts here on tumblr, but I write them mostly in Swedish. I don't think I've written something in Spanish in years. This year I found someone to practice Swedish and German with and message them once in a while, which has been nice so far.

This is time spent on individual languages compared to other years. I'm pretty satisfied. I'm glad I managed to keep my German and Swedish up, but it's my third year in a row neglecting Spanish. I want to change that, beginning with setting a goal of reading at least one Spanish book in 2025 (I haven't read a book in Spanish in years).

Jikook: But I Still Want You

During Seoul Final in 2019, Jimin and Jungkook changed the lyrics at the end of The Truth Untold to “but I still want you.” Compared to every other change made for the final concert,  this was never explained. These different lyrics hold a significance that still applies today. 

In a year of uncertainty, the members strived to do their best for us in 2020. They filmed and released content throughout the year, putting us first in their minds. They kept us going during our darkest times and made us feel less alone when most of us were struggling, online and offline. They tried to make each performance unique but with the same powerful moves and meaning. With certain restrictions, they would try to keep themselves positive both backstage and onstage. They kept the flow of music and happiness going and expressed wanting to do this for many years. Not just during the hard times. It’s obvious that Jimin and Jungkook also spoke about this together previously, as seen in Festa:

A special performance is MMA 2020. Black Swan is already a heart wrenching song, even more so with the cancellation of the tour afterwards. To lose your true love and passion for something, to face those fears and then conquer them within art is such a powerful message. It must have been incredibly hard for them to go through their worst fears during lockdown and we could see how they supported each other during these times. With Jimin and Jungkook, we saw them nearly always together as we usually do. And this was reflected in their performances too.

In a cruel twist of fate, they wouldn’t be able to perform Black Swan live in front of an audience for a few years.  I wish that BTS could have performed their MMA 2020 set in front of a live audience, but of course that wouldn’t be possible. The performance is so tender, as we see Jungkook being dragged away from Jimin. Jimin then struggled to get through and then the powerful lift when they reunited. You could still feel the impact of the performance though through the screen and there are countless praises for Jikook’s part especially:

It would be a long time until BTS would be reunited with Army again. They continued with their releases, but we could see how much the distance between them and us was affecting them. We saw this when Jimin suddenly cried during MOTS:Online and how Jungkook comforted him, very much aware of what they were each feeling. Once we were together again,we gave them so much love and you could see the relief on their faces. That they had made it and Jimin and Jungkook seemed just as affected by this too. They have an extra connection on stage and that was in full force as they played around, got extra close and flirted together. It was like no time had passed at all. This hug is different from their normal ones, it silently says “We did it. We made it.” 

Chapter two began and, though they did their separate things, that connection remained strong. They supported each other as much as they could, occasionally missing each other and talking about the other at any opportunity they had. This would have been a different set of circumstances that they are used to, but they made it work. Whilst also enjoying time by themselves or working on other things. Another new situation is enlistment. Though it’s been a talking point for many years, it was soon time for each member to enlist. With Jimin and Jungkook deciding to take part in the buddy system. Showing that with each struggle or new experience, they are always there for each other. And will continue to be. No matter what happens, that look and message from 2019 still remains:

KingSteve: oh, really? That’s Great!!!

It was, in fact, not great. Steve felt like he couldn’t breathe. His chest felt so, unbelievably heavy and tears started pouring, unbidden, down his cheeks. Robin. He needed Robin, she would know how to help him. She helped him the last time his pesky feelings came out of the hole he had buried them in.

See, Eddie and Steve had never been good together. Steve was well aware of this fact, thanks to endless hours of talking to Robin. They were teenagers when they first got together, and neither of them had any clue how a relationship should work. Eddie was figuring themself out and they weren’t comfortable with Steve’s easy affection or deep wells of devotion and love. Steve had been too much. He had loved much too hard and much too fast and it ran Eddie away. They had never been good at the communication side of the relationship either. They were never on the same page or even in the same book most of the time. Yet, none of this had stoped Steve from giving his heart to Eddie. None of this made him think for even a millisecond that they couldn’t figure it out, that they couldn’t be together, that they wouldn’t be together forever.

Steve had always thought that he would be the one putting a ring on Eddie’s finger. Until Eddie handed his heart back to him in a million tiny pieces.

2019

“Eddie, please. I love you, Eddie.”

“Steve, we aren’t good for each other, can’t you see that? We haven’t done anything other than hurt one another this whole past year of dating.”

“You don’t have to do this Eddie! I can be better, I can be whatever you need me to be, just please don’t leave me.”

“Steve, the fact that you don’t see how fucked up that is only solidifies that this isn’t good for either of us.”

Steve was sobbing. He was sobbing and Eddie was mad at him. He just needed to know what he was doing wrong. He could fix it. He had to fix it. If Eddie left it would just prove what his parents had always shown him. He is unloveable. He is never good enough. Never strong enough. Never caring enough. Never enough. He just wanted to be enough.

“Steve, this has to be over. For both of us.” Eddie sounded so exasperated. So tired.

Steve nodded, still sobbing.

“I’m… I’m sorry that I couldn’t make you happy, Eddie. I’m sorry. Please, I love you.”

“And I’m sure I will always love you, but I’m leaving. I have to go. I can’t be myself here, Steve.” Eddie was whispering now, running their cool hand down Steve’s cheek. Steve watched Eddie’s tears roll down their own cheeks as they wiped his away. “I’ll still be just a phone call away, but I have to move on.”

Steve grabbed Eddie’s wrist and nodded. Giving up hurt worse than anything but he couldn’t keep causing Eddie pain. He couldn’t keep them here if they would be unhappy and anything other than wholly themself. Eddie moved across the country that day and never looked back.

2023

Steve isn’t really sure when he called Robin, but he apparently did because she was here. She was picking him up off of the floor that he had sank to, his phone still on the couch cushion behind him.

“Hey, hey, Steve” she patted his cheeks and he blinked. “There you are. What happened Stevie? You called but never said a word so I came to check on you. You don’t look good. Why are you crying?”

Steve brought his own hand up to his cheek, it came back wet.

“Eddie is getting married.”

“Woah, okay. I didn’t even know they were dating anybody.”

“Me either” Steve whispered.

“And how are you handling this information?” Steve gave her a glare that he’s sure lost some of its sterns by his no doubt puffy eyes. “Yeah, so not great.” Steve snorted. “Do ya want to talk about it.”

“I thought I was done with this. I thought I had moved past it. Why? Why did I break the moment they told me that they were engaged.”

“I’ve gotta be honest here, Steve, the situation you put yourself in wasn’t the best. You knew Eddie was moving on. They told you they were. You never really let them go. You stayed close and kept your own hopes up. This just crushed them.”

Steve flopped his head over on her shoulder.

“Why cant you be my therapist, again?”

“Conflict of interest, babe. I would be too clouded by my love for you to give you the advice you need.”

“It’s never stopped you before.” Robin chuckled and ruffled his hair. “I don’t think I ever actually let myself work through my heartbreak. I just kind of shoved it down far enough that it wasn’t a problem to keep talking to Eddie as if they’d never broken my heart. I still wanted them to be my best friend. Eddie knows me better than almost anyone, besides you, and it felt harder to lose that than to bury my feelings.”

“Yeah, you’ve buried more than you would ever let anyone you love even think of going through. Don’t you think you’ve held on to enough? Just let it go, Steve. It’ll be okay. I’ll be here.”

“You won’t leave me too?” Steve’s voice sounded so so small, even to himself.

“Never.”

And Steve broke.
